Cuba’s Pristine Beaches by Charlie Root

Many tourists head to Cuba every year to discover wonderful cities such as Havana and Cienfuegos.  I loved the untamed beauty of these cities, but I fell in love with the beautiful beaches of Cuba.  I found out through word of mouth that many international tourists head to Cuban beaches for their holidays.  On their Cuban holidays, tourists are welcomed by some of the best beaches in the world. I have traveled all over the world and the warm blue waters and pristine white sand beaches are some of the best beaches and water I have ever seen.  These beaches are calm, breathtaking, and relaxing. Spending a few hours on the white sand shores of Cuba was my favorite way to relax. Visiting a Cuban beach is an unforgettable experience. The beaches are clean, and the fine, white sand is soft and beautiful. The marine life that surrounds Cuban beaches is widely varied and some species are not found anywhere else in the world. And, of course, because of Cuba’s location, its beaches have a mild, subtropical weather with refreshing breezes that make the Caribbean climate perfect for enjoying the sand and water. People from everywhere enjoy Cuban beaches for activities like sunbathing, and beach sports like volleyball, and diving.

There are quite a few regions of Cuba’s coastline that are world famous for excellent activity centers and natural attractions. Some of the popular travel destinations for international tourists include Guardelavaca, Santa Maria del Mar, Varadero, Santa Lucia, Esmeralda and Ancon Beaches. Other popular Cuban beach destinations include Cayo Coco, Largo del Sur, Cayo Guillermo, Las Brujas, Santa Maria, and Cayo Levisa.

A number of Cuban beaches are relatively unexplored and have stunning natural features. Many of these "virgin" beaches are like undiscovered gems that are unspoiled natural preserves with intact ecosystems. I found myself in awe of the ecologically pristine sites and anyone would be most impressed with the exquisite beaches of Cuba, and those who are into beach sports will find plenty of scope for pursuing their passions on other Cuban beaches.

Many Cuban beaches are well equipped for water and sand-based adventures and activities such as scuba diving, fishing, rafting, swimming, and parasailing. Whether you travel to the beach to play or whether you travel to the beach to relax and soak up the sun, sea, and air… Cuban beaches will satisfy your desires. I cannot wait to go back and explore more of Cuba’s pristine white beaches.

If you are looking for a place to travel for your next holiday vacation, you should at least consider visiting one or more of Cuba’s world famous beaches. Such a vacation is sure to leave you rejuvenated, but it may be hard to leave when it’s time to return to the "real world."
